Pharmapoli

Pharmapoli® is a registered trademark of HPRD: Health Products Research and Development Lda, which identifies the manufacturing facility dedicated to the production, under a contract manufacturing model, of cosmetic products, medical devices and biocidal products. The company’s values are based on quality, technical and scientific rigour, and complete transparency of processes, including the transfer of information to our clients, whose responsibility for placing products on the market requires full control over product composition data, the production process and production information.

The company is based in Covilhã and operates worldwide. It is an international company that has been steadily strengthening its position in the global market.

Pharmapoli®’s facilities are located in the Tortosendo industrial estate in Covilhã, and the company benefits from the dedicated work of a highly qualified and motivated team. The company is certified to the ISO 9001 (quality management), ISO 13487 (medical devices) and NP 4457 (R&D) standards and is recognised by INFARMED for compliance with Good Laboratory Practice criteria in relation to its activities involving pharmaceutical products, including medicines, cosmetics and medical devices. The company complies with the cosmetic GMP criteria defined in the ISO 22716 standard.

The company is a partnership between two sisters, Ana and Rita Palmeira de Oliveira, both pharmacists, established in 2012 with the aim of transferring knowledge to the pharmaceutical and chemical markets. The company began by offering its clients specialised and highly rigorous laboratory and regulatory consultancy services under the Labfit® brand, which has already established a strong reputation in the international market. Labfit thus identifies the company’s laboratory facilities, equipped with highly specialised equipment and a qualified team undergoing continuous training. This brand is now joined by the Pharmapoli® brand, which reinforces the company’s capabilities, drawing on the experience of the two partners and the team they have assembled, offering clients a more comprehensive service, ranging from the development of a new product concept through to its laboratory characterisation, regulatory registration and industrial production.

Social Responsibility

At Pharmapoli, we have a zero-waste policy combined with the principles of reuse and recycling, wherever possible.

As part of this, every month we take part in the “Paper for Food” campaign run by the Food Bank Against Hunger, donating paper for recycling which the organisation then uses to purchase food for the most vulnerable families.

We also collect plastic bottle caps on a monthly basis for delivery to a charity in the Covilhã area to help purchase orthopaedic equipment.
