ABOUT US

Pharmapoli® is a registered trademark of the company HPRD: Health Products Research and Development Lda, which identifies the manufacturing facility dedicated to the production, on a contract manufacturing and private label basis, of cosmetic, medical devices, veterinary and biocidal products. The company is headquartered in Tortosendo, Covilhã, and operates worldwide. It is an international company that has been strengthening its position in the global market, supported by the dedicated work of a highly qualified and motivated team.

 

The company has a robust quality management system, evidenced by its ISO 13485 certification, and GMP cosmetics standard in accordance with ISO 22716. The company is also the only Portuguese laboratory whose accreditation includes the development and testing of cosmetic products and medical devices.

Pharmapoli® founded its values on quality, technical, scientific rigour, and complete transparency in its processes, including the sharing of information with our clients, as the party responsible for placing products on the market, this entails full control over product composition data, the production process, and production information.

The company is a partnership between two sisters, Ana and Rita Palmeira de Oliveira, both pharmacists, established in 2012 with the aim of transferring knowledge to the pharmaceutical and chemical products market. It began by offering its clients specialized and highly rigorous laboratory and regulatory consultancy services under Labfit®, which has already established a strong reputation in the international market. This brand is joined, since 2019, by Pharmapoli®, which reinforces the company’s capabilities, and, thus, completing the entire value chain.

Pharmapoli Disinfectants

Pharmapoli® began its activity in early 2020 with the outbreak of the Covid-19 pandemic. Consequently, in the face of the public health crisis and a severe shortage of alcohol-based hand and surface sanitisers on the market, Pharmapoli began producing its own brand of Pharmapoli Hand Sanitisers and Pharmapoli Surface Sanitisers in order to meet the pressing need.

Pharmapoli hand sanitisers

They comply with the guidelines issued by the Directorate-General for Health and the European Centre for Disease Prevention and Control, which recommend the use of products with a minimum alcohol content of 70% (v/v) for hand disinfection.

Proven virucidal efficacy against viruses such as SARS-CoV-21

  • No artificial colours;
  • Fragrance-free;
  • Leaves no residue.

Formula recommended by the WHO with proven efficacy and tolerability

  • Virucidal efficacy proven in accordance with standard EN 14476;
  • Available as SABA Pharmapoli and SABA Pharmapoli PRO.

Pharmapoli Surface Disinfectants

Pharmapoli Pro Surfaces complies with the guidelines of the World Health Organisation (WHO), which recommends the use of products with an ethanol content of between 70% and 90% (v/v) for surface disinfection.

  • Effective at removing viruses such as SARS-CoV-2;
  • Leaves no residue;
  • Formula recommended by the WHO for surface disinfection.

SOCIAL RESPONSABILITY

At Pharmapoli®, we have a zero-waste policy combined with the principles of reuse and recycling, wherever possible.

As part of this, every month we take part in the “Paper for Food” campaign run by the Food Bank Against Hunger, donating paper for recycling which the organisation then uses to purchase food for the most vulnerable families.

We also collect plastic bottle caps on a monthly basis to donate to a charity in the Covilhã area, which uses the proceeds to purchase orthopaedic equipment.
